When I read the title of the debut cookbook from Julie Bhosale, I knew it was a bit of me! Healthy Easy Dinners for Busy Mums. It’s like she wrote it specifically for me! Healthy food, who doesn’t want to feed their family healthy food? Easy, again meal options that are easy are always welcomed! Dinners, I am always stuck or inspiration on what to cook for dinner. Busy Mums, hello! That’s me right here, and I bet it is all of you as well!
You are greeted with gorgeous photos of Julie and her adorable little boys! It’s really inviting and refreshing to see that this is a practical cookbook written for Mums by a Mum dealing with the daily life of 2 young children. All of the photos of the stunning produce makes you want to get into the kitchen and start cooking straight away!
The book is clearly laid out with a great contents page, note from Julie about why she created this awesome book and how to use the book to the greatest effect. The 14 delicious dinner recipes are clearly detailed if they are gluten or dairy free and if they are high in iron. They have all been compiled with simple ingredients that can all be found at your local supermarket,
As an added bonus, there is 2 weeks of meal plans with the shopping list included. Planning dinner for 2 weeks could not be simpler!
At The Baby View we couldn’t wait to start testing the meals for ourselves. I cannot recommend the Moroccan Chicken Pie enough, it was so tasty and the whole family enjoyed it (even picky Miss 3!). We also loved the mince pasta bake as it has gentle, basic flavours for little tummies! Here are our efforts…
